Spot and funding, conversions and the account ledger

The API key page

What gets imported

  • Balances of the trading and funding wallets with exact quantities
  • Trades of the last 90 days, the limit of OKX's API, plus deposits and withdrawals
  • Convert conversions and the account ledger, from which the value history is rebuilt
  • Prices from the exchange's own tickers

What the app can't do

  • Trade, withdraw or transfer: a key that could is refused
  • Know your exchange password or 2FA codes: only the key is needed, and it is stored encrypted
  • Show futures, options or isolated margin: they aren't imported

Sync

  • Holdings refresh every 15 minutes.
  • Trades, deposits and withdrawals come in every 6 hours, in batches, until the whole history is in.
  • The “Refresh now” button works at most once every 2 minutes.
  • The key's permissions are checked again once a day.
  • OKX returns trades 90 days back, and the funding ledger a year back.

Access

  • A read-only API key
  • the exchange reports the key's rights
  • a passphrase is needed
  • Accounts: Spot, Funding
  • History: up to 90 days back
  • the account ledger for value history

Holdings refresh every 15 min, history every 6 h.

How to connect

  1. At OKX, create an API key with read permission only and keep its passphrase. The app links to the right page.

  2. In Degroshi choose “Crypto exchange” → OKX and paste the key, the secret and the passphrase.

  3. The app asks the exchange what the key can do and refuses it if it can trade or withdraw.

  4. Pick which exchange wallets to add as accounts, and the first import begins.

How to disconnect

Disconnect the exchange in Settings and the encrypted key is deleted. The accounts can stay as manual ones or be deleted. Delete the key at OKX as well.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Which currency are the holdings shown in?

Each asset is valued in dollars at the exchange's own prices, and the total is converted into your currency at the current rate. Quantities come from the exchange's answer exactly, unrounded.

Where is my key kept?

The key is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it reaches the database and decrypted only to call the exchange. Settings show only its last characters.

What if the key gains trading rights one day?

Permissions are checked daily. If the key gains trading or withdrawal rights, syncing stops until you replace it with a read-only key.

Why doesn't my OKX key work?

A key works only on the site that issued it: www.okx.com, my.okx.com for OKX EEA or app.okx.com for OKX US. The app offers to check the key on the other two. Also make sure you entered the key's passphrase, not the account's, and that the key wasn't created in simulated trading.
